Summer Activities

If you have children that say I'm bored these are some great activities for you to do together to keep yourselves entertained this summer. Some are free and others a super cheap but definitely worth making the effort to attend.

Kids Bowl Free
Visit KidsBowlFree.com and register your child for free bowling passes all summer long. Also after you register you given the option to buy The Family Pass which was created to allow for adult family members to enjoy bowling throughout the summer as well. The Family Pass starts from $23.95 and includes 2 game per person per day. The Family Pass covers up to 4 adult family members. You may have 1, 2, 3, or 4 adults on the family pass. Half Price Books Feed Your Brain Summer Reading Program
Children 12 years and under can earn a free $3 gift card to Half Price Books for each week they read for 15 minutes a day for least five days. The Feed Your Brain Summer Reading Program is available only at Half Price Books locations. Limit one per week, per child through July 31, 2009. Get more details here.

Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program
Kids can earn a free book when they read eight books this summer through the Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program. Eligible books will be listed on the coupon. Choices must be made from available stock. No special orders. Limit of one form per school-age child (grades 1-6). Incomplete forms will be ineligible for free books. Bass Pro Shops Free Family Summer Camps
Enjoy free activities at Bass Pro Shops Family Summer Camp May30th-July 5th. Visit Saturday and Sunday from 12pm-6pm for free crafts, laser shooting, casting pond, s'mores cookouts and more. For more details and locations go here.

AMC Summer Movie Camp
AMC Summer Movie Camp will be showing movies for $1 all summer long at select AMC theaters. Visit any participating AMC therater on any Wednesday from June 17th-August 5th to watch select children's movies.

AMC Kids Packs will be only $3.00 exclusive during AMC Summer Movie Camp, which includes:
  • Kids’-size drink
  • Kids’-size popcorn
  • Kids’-size snack

Cinemark Summer Movie Clubhouse
June 9th-August 12th join Cinemark for their Summer Movie Clubhouse. Movies are $1 per show and you can even buy you tickets in advanced $5 for 10 weeks. All movies start at 10am and movies vary in each area. For details on this promotion click here.

Regal Free Family Film Festival
At 10am each Tuesday and Wednesday starting June 9th-August 5th enjoy the Free Family Film Festival at participating Regal Theaters.This is first-come, first-served seating and limited to theater capacity. Tickets for their 2009 Free Family Film Festival are exclusively available at select theaters on the day of the show.
