Attention Jacksonville: Best Car Show Ever

If you like cars or know anyone who loves them, tell them that the Sibling Rivalry Car Show has been set for 11/07/09. This has got to be the best FREE car event in Florida. People from all over drive to Jacksonville to be apart of this great family event. Last year a man told me he drove 12hr from Virginia to get here for the show.

Over 30 trophies will be given, tons of prizes will be won, and plenty of free food will be eaten. Last year my sister and I won 5 prizes including a free Scion Jacket and free Dyno Run at Velocity Trends(Beach Blvd). I really wanted to win the Longhorn Steakhouse gift card but its alright I have this year.

Panera Jacksonville Family Event Series

Regal Free Family Film Festival
At 10am each Tuesday and Wednesday starting June 9th-August 5th enjoy the Free Family Film Festival at participating Regal Theaters.This is first-come, first-served seating and limited to theater capacity. Jax Movies in the Park

Bring your picnic blankets and camp chairs to Treaty Oak Park and enjoy a movie under the stars. Come early to get a good seat and enjoy the sounds of 96.9 The Eagle while you wait. Free lawn games will be available before the movie to keep kids busy.

Tomorrow April 2, 2009 is the first day for the Clay County Fair in Green Cove Springs. Whats even better is theme for the day is "Dollar Days". All day the admission fee will be $1 and for children 6 and under its free. Now if that isn't great too, all rides will be $1 also.

Barnes & Noble: 40 % or More Off

At the end of March the Barnes & Noble Bookstore in Arlington will close its doors. From what I've read this is their way of sending more readers to the St. Johns Town Center and Mandarin Stores. Last time I was there the books were 40% off but I'm sure its way more now. This is a great time to get a good read for a great price.

For those like I who don't want to make the long and dreaded commute to B&N on the other side of town, Books-A-Million is right down the street from the now old B&N. Their membership card is only $20 that is $5 cheaper than B&N. They even have Yu-Gi-Oh Tournaments for the kids on Saturdays.

Pisco's Peruvian Cuisine

I can truly save this is my favorite restaurant in all of Jacksonville, Florida. Pisco's is a family owned Peruvian restaurant. I would probably say the most friendliest too.My Family and I usually eat here once or twice a month because their food is so good. Your always greeted with a smile and if you have kids the owner (also cook) loves kids she'll every now and then come and say hello to them.

Here in Jacksonville we have a store called Save Rite. Its like Winn Dixie's sister store similar to Aldi or Save-a-lot. Well right now my sister said they have leg quarters for $0.38/pound. She also said since they were sold out of leg quarters, they had whole chickens $0.38/pound, and she paid around $1.96-$1.99 per chicken.

I only know of this price at the Save Rite on 1012 Edgewood Ave North if the one on Main St has this price email me. They also have Hawaiian Punch Gallons, $1.48, a in ad coupon for $25 GC for Save Rite or Winn Dixie with a transferred perscription, their 30 day supply of generic perscription drugs start at $3.98.
